How Shipping Works

At PeerMetals, we've designed the shipping process to be as simple and reliable as possible—for both buyers and sellers. Once an order is placed, the buyer selects their preferred shipping method at checkout. From there, sellers can generate a shipping label directly through the Seller Hub with all necessary details prefilled and ready to go.


1. How Shipping Works on PeerMetals

Here’s an overview of how the shipping process flows between buyers and sellers:

  • Buyer Chooses Shipping at Checkout: The buyer selects their preferred United States Postal Service shipping option during the purchase process.

  • Seller Generates the Label: Once payment is confirmed, the seller can generate a prefilled shipping label directly from the Seller Hub, on the Shipping sub page.

  • Tracking Provided Automatically: As soon as the label is generated, tracking information is attached to the order and shared with the buyer.

  • Seller Packages and Ships the Item: The seller prints the label, packages the item securely, and drops it off with the selected carrier.


2. How to Generate a Shipping Label

Sellers can generate a label in just a few clicks:

  • Go to the Seller Hub: Log in and navigate to the Seller Hub and then to the Shipping sub page.

  • Generate Label: Find the order you are packaging, and select the box icon.

  • Review & Confirm: Double-check the shipping profile to ensure you are packaging correctly. Then press "Create Label"

  • Download & Print: Download the label and attach it to your package.


3. Shipping Best Practices

To ensure a smooth delivery and protect your item in transit:

  • Use Secure Packaging: Choose padded mailers or boxes appropriate for precious metals and coins.

  • Double Check Weight & Dimensions: Make sure the actual package matches what’s on the label.

  • Ship Promptly: Sellers are expected to ship within the timeframe listed in their shipping policy.

  • Include Extra Protection: Use bubble wrap or internal padding to protect the contents from shifting or damage.

  • Contact Support With Issues: Problem with weight, size or other shipping issues? Contact support promptly and we will help resolve the issue.


4. Tracking and Confirmation

Once shipped:

  • Tracking Updates Automatically: Buyers and sellers can view tracking in real-time via the order page.

  • Proof of Shipment: Tracking also serves as verification that the item was shipped on time.

  • Dispute Protection: Having valid tracking helps resolve any shipping-related issues that may arise.


5. Insured Shipping

If your buyer selects to insure their package through our shipping insurance provider Cabrella, sellers must adhere to the following packaging guidelines. If the seller does not adhere to these guidelines, and the package is deemed uninsurable, the seller will be held responsible.

  • Adult Signature Confirmation (automatically applied by PeerMetals).

  • All contents must be double boxed with extra label affixed to the inner box.

  • Shipments must be sent out on a week day (Monday-Friday).
