If you have a large inventory, PeerMetals' CSV importer lets you create many listings at once from a spreadsheet. It accepts both CSV and Excel (XLSX) files.

How to Import

1. Go to the Seller Hub and open the CSV Importer.

2. Click Download Template to get a pre-built CSV with all required columns and sample rows.

3. Fill in one row per listing in the template (or upload an existing XLSX).

4. Upload the file - the importer validates every row using the same rules as the listing form.

5. Fix any highlighted errors inline, attach images per row, then publish or save as drafts.

Required Columns

• Title, description, price, quantity.

• Metal type, purity, weight and weight unit.

• Category (Tier 1 / Tier 2) and condition.

• Shipping profile (optional - links to a saved profile).

• Listing type flags: auction, spot-price or live-shopping (optional).

File Format

• CSV files are parsed with Papaparse.

• Excel files (.xlsx / .xls) are parsed with the XLSX library.

• UTF-8 encoded CSVs work best - save from Excel as "CSV UTF-8".

Common Issues

• Invalid metal type or category - use the exact values shown in the template drop-downs.

• Wrong weight units - supported values are oz, gram and kg.

• Spot-priced rows need an offset type, offset value and direction.

• The error panel lists the exact row and column, so you can fix in the inline editor without re-uploading.
