Palladium is the thinnest of the major precious metal markets, driven mostly by industrial demand from catalytic converter manufacturing rather than by investors.
Industrial demand makes palladium the most volatile of the four precious metals, so the premium you see today can look very different next week.
Most listings are one-ounce Canadian Maple Leafs or bars from recognised refiners. Anything outside that is worth extra scrutiny.
Because so few pieces trade, expect selling to take longer than a comparable gold or silver piece — check the premium against live spot carefully before buying.
Pricing, payment, shipping and disputes
Sellers set their own prices. Many price directly off the live palladium spot price with a fixed premium or discount, so their listings move with the market; others set a flat price. The live spot price used across the site is shown at the top of this page.
Yes, on any listing where the seller has enabled offers. Send your offer from the listing page and the seller can accept, decline or counter. Some sellers also run auctions, where you bid instead.
