1. Platform Fee

• What It Covers: The platform fee supports the operation, maintenance, and development of PeerMetals, including security enhancements, customer support, and platform improvements.

• Tiered Fee Structure: Your platform fee is based on your Metal Points level:

  • 2.75% – Standard

  • 2.50% – Level 5 (5,000 Metal Points)

  • 2.25% – Level 15 (15,000 Metal Points)

  • 2.00% – Level 50 (50,000 Metal Points)

• When It’s Charged: This fee is taken out of the transaction before it reaches the seller's withdrawal balance.

2. Processing Fees

• What It Covers: Processing fees are charged by Stripe to handle payments securely. PeerMetals passes these fees directly to the buyer without any markup.

• Breakdown by Payment Method: Below are the exact fees for each payment type, as charged by Stripe:

  • Credit/Debit Card: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

  • Stripe Link: 2.9% + $0.30 for cards

  • Cash App Pay: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

  • Klarna (Buy Now, Pay Later): 6% + $0.30 per transaction.

  • US Bank Account (ACH): 0.8% per transaction.

  • Amazon Pay: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

  • Apple Pay: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

  • Google Pay: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction.

• Displayed at Checkout: Processing fees are itemized at checkout, ensuring you see the exact amount before confirming your order.

3. Withdraw Fees

• What It Covers: When a seller withdraws their balance from PeerMetals to their bank account or debit card, this fee is deducted from their overall balance. This fee is charged to cover the related processing fees charged by Stripe. PeerMetals passes these fees directly to the seller without any markup.

  • Standard Payout Processing (1-3 business days): 0.25% + $0.25 per withdrawal.

  • Instant Payout Processing: 1% per withdrawal.

These fees ensure fast, secure, and reliable payout processing directly to your preferred financial institution.

4. Why Do We Charge Fees?

• Transparency: We pass on Stripe’s exact processing fees to avoid hidden costs or inflated charges.

• Platform Sustainability: The platform fee helps us maintain and enhance PeerMetals to create a reliable marketplace for buyers and sellers.

Here’s an example of how fees are calculated for a transaction:

• Item Price: $100.00

• Shipping Cost: $5.00

• Sales Tax: $5.00

• Processing Fee (Credit/Debit Card - 2.9% + $0.30): $3.49 (Paid by Buyer)

• Total Paid by Buyer: $113.49

• Platform Fee (2.75% of $100): $2.75 (Paid by Seller)

• Total Earned by Seller: $97.25

• Withdrawal Fee (Standard Payout): $0.49

• Final Amount Received: $96.76
