What to Do If Your Payment Fails

Payment failures can happen for various reasons, and most are easily resolved. Here's how to troubleshoot and complete your purchase.

Common Reasons for Payment Failures

  • Insufficient funds in your account or credit limit reached.

  • Incorrect card details (number, expiration, CVV).

  • Bank security block—your bank may flag the transaction as unusual.

  • Expired card that needs to be updated.

  • 3D Secure verification was not completed.

How to Resolve

  1. Double-check your payment details—ensure card number, expiration date, and CVV are correct.

  2. Try a different payment method—switch to another card or use US Bank Transfer.

  3. Contact your bank—ask them to authorize transactions from Stripe/PeerMetals.

  4. Clear your browser cache or try a different browser if the payment form isn't loading correctly.

  5. If the issue persists, contact our support team for assistance.

After a Failed Payment

  • Your order will not be placed until payment is successfully processed.

  • Items in your cart remain available, but inventory is not reserved—another buyer may purchase them.

  • No charges will appear on your account for failed transactions.
