2012 S P D AMERICA'S THE BEAUTIFUL DENALI 3 Coins

Denali National Park

Presented is a collector's set of three 2012 America's Beautiful Quarters featuring the stunning Denali National Park design. This specific set includes coins from the Philadelphia (P), Denver (D), and San Francisco (S) mints, offering a comprehensive look at the year's issue for this iconic Alaskan wilderness design. The America the Beautiful Quarters Program, launched in 2010, commemorates national parks and sites across the United States, with five unique designs released annually until 2021.

The Denali National Park quarter is the first America the Beautiful quarter released in 2012 and the 11th overall in the series. Its reverse design exquisitely captures a Dall sheep with Mount McKinley (now Denali) prominently featured in the background, symbolizing the park's majestic wildlife and awe-inspiring landscapes. The inclusion of coins from all three primary mints (P, D, and S) makes this a desirable set for collectors aiming to complete their series or appreciate the slight variations in strike and presentation from each facility, often including a business strike from Philadelphia, a business strike from Denver, and a clad proof from San Francisco.

These coins, being standard clad issues, are a testament to the US Mint's artistry in producing circulating coinage that also serves as a collectible tribute to America's natural heritage. This 3-coin set is an excellent addition for numismatists focusing on modern US commemorative coinage, specifically the America the Beautiful series, or for anyone wishing to own a piece of US history celebrating one of its most breathtaking national parks.
