Silver 1943 Mexico 50 Centavos – Choice BU

Design Details:

Obverse: Features the crisp Mexican national coat of arms depicting a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus, devouring a rattlesnake. Curved along the top is the inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (United Mexican States).

The silver fineness numbers "0.720" are cleanly split on either side of the eagle's head.

Reverse: Showcases the iconic "Cap and Rays" design featuring a radiant sunburst centered around a Phrygian cap inscribed with the word "LIBERTAD".

The large denomination "50 CENTAVOS" dominates the center, flanked by oak and laurel branches with the date "1943" at the bottom.

Condition Notes:

Zero Wear: The coin is completely uncirculated with sharp, crisp details. High-friction areas like the eagle's wing plumage and the fine text on the liberty cap show absolutely no flattening or smoothing.

Luster: Retains excellent, frosty original mint luster that rotates beautifully across both surfaces.

Surfaces: Clean fields displaying only minor, light contact marks and small "bag marks" from historical bulk storage.

Minor Bag Marks: Since these coins were historically shipped in bulk canvas bags, they frequently collided with each other.

There are no distracting deep scratches, gouges, or signs of cleaning.
