2023 Canada Silver Maple Leaf – Dual Date

Offered is a 2023 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf, struck by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1 troy ounce of .9999 fine silver.

The 2023 issue is especially noteworthy as a transitional-year Silver Maple Leaf following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse retains Susanna Blunt’s familiar portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and features the special 1952–2022 dual-date marking, separated by four pearls. The four pearls represent the four different effigies of Queen Elizabeth II that appeared on Canadian coinage during her 70-year reign.

The reverse features Walter Ott’s iconic Canadian maple leaf design along with the coin’s precise radial-line background. A small laser-engraved maple leaf security mark contains the number “23” under magnification, identifying the year of issue. The coin also incorporates the Royal Canadian Mint’s advanced Bullion DNA™ security technology and MINTSHIELD™ surface protection.
