1965 SMS Roosevelt Dime NGC rated MS67

Presenting a meticulously preserved and professionally certified 1965 Roosevelt Dime, graded a superb MS67 by the highly respected Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). This particular coin holds significant historical importance as part of the Special Mint Set (SMS) program, which was a unique offering by the United States Mint from 1965 to 1967. The MS67 grade indicates a coin with a full strike, excellent eye appeal, and minimal imperfections visible only under magnification, making it a prime example for any serious collector. The 1965 SMS Roosevelt Dime is especially notable as it marks the first year of clad coinage for the dime, signaling the end of silver dimes in circulation. These SMS coins were produced with a distinct finish, often described as a satin-like luster, and generally exhibit sharper strikes than their regular circulation counterparts. They served as a replacement for both proof sets and traditional mint sets during a period of intense coin production and silver hoarding, making them a fascinating chapter in U.S. numismatic history. This graded example offers collectors an exceptional opportunity to own a key piece of modern U.S. coinage. Its high NGC certification guarantees authenticity and condition, providing confidence and value to your collection. Whether you're completing a Roosevelt Dime series, collecting high-grade U.S. coins, or appreciating the unique story of the SMS program, this MS67 1965 SMS Roosevelt Dime is a truly outstanding acquisition.
