Description

Product Details

These magnificent silver coins celebrate the year 2027 as the Year of the Goat and are the eighth release in Perth's Lunar Series III. These coins are sold out at The Perth Mint!

A landmark coin series of the highest regard, the Perth Lunars package beautiful designs, limited mintages and universal appeal all in one program.

Coin Highlights:

  • Contains 1 oz of .9999 fine silver.

  • Comes in a protective plastic capsule. Multiples of 20 typically come in sealed rolls.

  • Limited mintage cap of 300,000 coins.

  • Obverse: The Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, the weight and fineness, and the monetary denomination.

  • Reverse: Portrays a mature goat, a young goat, and a baby goat grazing peacefully. The image embodies the auspicious phrase "Three Goats Bring Bliss," symbolizing the end of winter and the arrival of spring, renewal and prosperous new beginnings. A plum blossom tree represents purity, resilience and hope. Also included in the design is the Chinese character for "goat," the inscription "GOAT 2027" and The Perth Mint's "P" mint mark.

  • Sovereign coin backed by the Australian government.

Three Goats and the Blossom Tree

Natasha Muhl’s reverse places three goats grazing among rocks, a mature one, a younger one and a kid, with a plum blossom tree beside them and hills behind. The Perth Mint reads the scene as “Three Goats Bring Bliss,” a sign of winter giving way to spring and of new beginnings; the blossom tree stands for resilience and hope.
