Understanding Spot Deals

Spot Deals are listings sold at or below the current spot price of a metal. PeerMetals automatically surfaces the best ones on X/Twitter so buyers can jump on them quickly.

What Are Spot Deals?

  • Sellers can price listings dynamically using a spot price offset (for example "spot +5%" or "spot -2%").

  • Our system runs twice a day and selects listings priced at or below spot.

  • These picks are posted to @peermetals on X (Twitter) and linked back to the live listing.

How to Catch Spot Deals

  • Follow @peermetals on X - every spot deal post includes the listing link.

  • Check the Live Prices page so you know what "spot" means today for gold, silver, platinum and palladium.

  • Browse the Marketplace and sort by discount to find seller promotions and sale items.

  • Act fast - deals at or below spot tend to sell within minutes.

Understanding Spot Price

  • The spot price is the live market price per troy ounce for a metal.

  • PeerMetals refreshes spot prices every 20 minutes from market data providers.

  • Most retail bullion trades above spot due to minting, design and dealer premiums - anything at or below spot is noteworthy.

For Sellers

If you want your listings eligible for spot-deal selection, enable spot pricing in the listing form and set an offset. Listings at or below spot during a selection window can be auto-featured on X.
