Poland 1933 Silver 5 Złotych "Polonia / Jadwiga" Coin - Warsaw Mint (MW) - VF/XF
Description:
An authentic, historical 1933 5 Złotych silver coin from the Second Polish Republic.
This iconic piece features the famous "Polonia" design by renowned sculptor Antoni Madeyski.
The coin shows excellent eye appeal with sharp, clean fields and strong details.
Obverse: (Front)
• Design: Features the classic left-facing profile of "Polonia", the allegorical personification of Poland, traditionally stylized after a traditional folklore motif often associated with Queen Jadwiga.
• Details: She is adorned with a delicate clover-and-flower wreath on her head against a radiant backdrop of stylized, outward-pointing ears of grain. The hair braids and fine details in the wheat stalks remain remarkably crisp and well-defined.
Reverse: (Back)
• Design: Displays the crowned White Eagle, the official coat of arms of Poland.
• Inscriptions: Surrounded by the bold text "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA" (Republic of Poland). The denomination "5 ZŁOTYCH 5" spans the bottom rim, sandwiching the mint date of 1933.
• Mint Mark: Clearly features the small "MW" (Warsaw Mint) mark just beneath the eagle’s left talon.
