The only major bullion coin with no monarch or national emblem
Where most sovereign bullion coins put a head of state or national seal on the obverse, the Philharmonic puts the Musikverein's pipe organ — the coin is a tribute to the orchestra and concert hall, not the Austrian state directly. Designer Thomas Pesendorfer has held that design since the coin's 1989 launch, making it one of the most stable designs in modern bullion.
